- This game has one of the better monetization of any modern fighter (despite what uninformed people may be saying about 50% of the roster being DLC). 55€ (probably 1 = 1 conversion to $ as always lol) for everything (excluding some colours that are... not good and you can mod yours in easily anyways) is a very good deal. You can also just buy the "base" package and upgrade to the deluxe (aka all dlcs at a cheaper bundle price) if you aren't so sure about the game, and you'll only have to pay the difference!
Basically this game's cheaper with all DLC than many modern fighters are at base price.
- Base roster is 22 (used to be 25 with the first months promotion getting you the first DLC for free but that's over), plus 18 DLC characters in packs of 3. Much cheaper to get the all in one season pass. Some fighters that were in previous BB games are now DLC which may not sit well with you.
Also, "Mid May" is the given release date for Season 2 which will bring more characters.
- The game is one of the easiest fighters to pick up ever, has a decent tutorial and simplified controls (but not simplified execution) that basically mean you can go ahead and be decently effective in little time, especially if you have experience in other fighers.
- There is no Stylish or Technical, but rather a mix of the 2. There aren't auto combos or one button supers, though all characters have a magic series/target combo or a few by just pressing AAA or BBB or AABB etc., but that's not the only way to string combos or blockstrings or any other sort of moves. Chaining, linking, tricky juggles, assist extensions, etc. are all still there.
- Some characters play kind of like their original game, some are pretty different, but all are simplified in favour of complimenting their moveset with the second character.
You WILL have to learn the tag/partner system to get much enjoyment as most things depend on using your 2nd character correctly.
- This game barely plays like BB, but rather more like Marvel vs Capcom. It's fast and brutal (most of the time lol) and you will see some very disgusting plays with the wide variety of tools to basically b*llsh*t you out ranging from simple sandwich setups to unblockable setups.
If you expect BlazBlue, you'll be really disappointed trying to play this game like it.
- The game is pretty fun to play casually, you don't have to shoot for EVO and get extremely good to enjoy it.
Concerning the game itself, it has been my favorite fighting game for some time now, it is beyond worth it. The best BlazBlue title right next to BlazBlue Central Fiction, of course.
Game is practicly dead.
Might resurect once the patch and DLC drops but right now online is a ghost town.
I forgot to mention this, but you'll need to arrange matches as most people don't bother using the lobbies and isntead wait for people to ask them to play or just run private rooms.
