- Towards the end of the game the multitable tournaments have much more players than GoP2 making the game more interesting, and I think once you have unlocked them you can also set them up to play directly.
- A 'pro' difficulty level which means more powerful AI players.
- More locations in the storyline to visit.
I find GOP2 PE the best offline poker game because of the mix of interesting storyline and a decent poker AI for the computer players. Ideal to get familiar with poker without spending money.
You can of course gift someone whatever game you like, instead of buying it and having it in your account, your gifted friends account will be credited instead AFAIK.

Np. They are also separate saves. I think you can have different profile in both games too anyway.
WHen it's on sale, get both if you really wanna collect them. I was sad the GoP3 had no story mode lol So had to buy both for the best game
You cannot add both because they both share the same store page but both can be still PURCHASED.
