Anyone know? Is this a different game from GoP 2?

Someone I know has GoP 2 regular edition, can I gift them the premium edition? will it be a seperate entry in steam or how does it work?

The regular GoP2 comes with only 1/3 of the price of the Premium Edition, but I would pay the PE for these reasons:

- Towards the end of the game the multitable tournaments have much more players than GoP2 making the game more interesting, and I think once you have unlocked them you can also set them up to play directly.

- A 'pro' difficulty level which means more powerful AI players.

- More locations in the storyline to visit.

I find GOP2 PE the best offline poker game because of the mix of interesting storyline and a decent poker AI for the computer players. Ideal to get familiar with poker without spending money.

Anyone? Are they seperate games? seperate entries in steam library? No one seems to be able to answer my question.

AFAIK these are separate games, especially when no upgrade DLC is offered in the store page. In Steam, if 2 games have separate store pages then they are different games whatever the similarities are.
You can of course gift someone whatever game you like, instead of buying it and having it in your account, your gifted friends account will be credited instead AFAIK.

Best place to get the correct answer is to contact Steam Support.

Np. They are also separate saves. I think you can have different profile in both games too anyway.

WHen it's on sale, get both if you really wanna collect them. I was sad the GoP3 had no story mode lol So had to buy both for the best game

It's very confusing, They do seem to have separate store pages, but they share one "add to wishlist" it seems, i cant add each game to my wishlist separately . Never seen this on steam.

That's what I want to do, but as I mentioned above, I can't seem to add both games to my wishlist, not to mention they never seem to go on sale, the last 2 steam sales, Winter and Lunar new year, saw no discount at all.

Anyway thanks for your answers!!

My Father Loves them, and I must admit it looks fun, I like the RPG aspect of them, earning towns and trains etc. i'd buy both for me and get him the premium one if they ever went on sale.

You cannot add both because they both share the same store page but both can be still PURCHASED.
