How In the Hell Do I Save?!
I just wasted almost 2 hours, reading through the story, wanted to change the game settings so went back to the main menu, then realized there was no saved data to load when I tried to go back. I honestly don't know if I'll come back to this VN, considering how much I'll have to skip through to get back to where I was but if I do, what the hell button do you press to save?

Computers have a thing called "mouse" (or "trakckpad" in laptops). That thing have 2 or more buttons. The second (usually the right one) button is used to open the menu in this game.
The menu have many options, one of them is labeled "Open Save/Load Menu", which also have a "D" in it, meaning you can press the "D" key to access that option without opening the menu.
The menu also has an option to open the config screen, so you can change settings without going to the title screen.

Unless this is you first video game ever, why did you think going to the tittle screen without saving was a good idea?
Almost all games have in-game menus to change settings without going back to the tittle screen but few of them autosave when you leave to the tittle screen.

This game, like many others, also has a manual with the basic controls, you should read that before anything.

Ah yes, so obvious that the game would needlessly have two separated menus, with the right mouse button being the menu button specifically for settings. So crazy to think that esc, the button used for pause menus in virtually every single video game released on PC for the last 2 1/2 decades, would be for bringing up settings or saving, am I right? And yes, it's so obvious that one should read the game manual of every single video game they play, front to back before playing, just in case the game in question has an extremely obtuse way of handling something as simple as a menu, just like how you should always read the terms and service, front to back. Do you have a social IQ above room temperature because you're really bad at this whole "interacting with others" thing.

Yes, it's usually like that with VNs, they either have menu buttons over the text box, or have a menu opened with the right mouse button, some even have both.
It's part of the basic controls for VNs and some other type of adventure games. it's like moving with WASD and shooting with LMB in FPS (or arrows keys and LCTRL in the old ones).

Different genres of videogames have different controls. In VNs the esc key is usually to exit, hide the text box or the "boss" button. VNs controls are focused in the mouse (so you can play with one hand), having a menu limited to a key is unheard of.

Yes, if you don't know how to use something (be a videogame or anything else), reading the manual is the first step, that's why they exist.
In case of videogames, the second step is hitting the usual keys until you find what you're looking for.

You came to a steam forum asking a dumb question and expect people not to make fun of you? You're in the wrong place, dude.
If you had worded your question as "it's my first VN, I don't know how to save" instead of "this game is ♥♥♥♥ 'cause I don't know how to play it", you may have gotten more kind replies.
Don't be aggressive when asking for help, that's one of the basics of "interacting with others".

If my first reply made you angry or sad, I'm sorry, It wasn't my intention, I just wanted to joke a little.

There is no manual from within the game.

When you launch the game, you get a button to open the manual

Dude, the whole thing takes at most 8h to go through the entire thing, all endings everything. You can finish this in a single evening.

Phew. Thank you for the expedient response. I was stuck at my computer, at the main menu since June.
