in the viking dlc theres a crying statue. how do i activate its power

You need to equip your archers with shields to make them be able to be recruited by the Vanguards/Housecarls, the shields can be bought at Common Shield shops and also the Crying Statue should be a puzzle, you can look at Wiki or you can try to solve it yourself.

for the "crying" statues, the hint is in the time of day you go near it
ps, you need 3 gems (1 each) to unlock it for the left, middle and right

nope zeke he speaks about a single statue, i guess its the one that gives you the item for the valhalla squad. it can look like its crying with its twoside faced centerpiece (the rest are only pillars) . this woud partly go in line with his missing knowledge about shields, because when i remember correct the archers for that must be shieldbearers as well
