Norse lands, do houses spawn cats?

Do houses spawn cats for the cat chariot or do only villages spawn cats for it?

so tearing down a village and then rebuilding a house on it takes away it's ability to spawn cats?

actually, I think the wiki is flat out wrong, I spent an entire year on island 3 and got no cats at all, then within 1 minute of me building a house over a destroyed vagrant camp I came across two in the forest. I wasn't sitting around either, EVERY portal on this island is dead and my walls span from edge to edge (so much so that it's a bit of a problem because when my archers go out "hunting" (on the single section of tall grass before they meet the cave entrance) they activate the cave entrance sometimes causing a mini-wave.

edit : got another one in under 2 minutes from the last two while walking through some of the forest. I think the wiki is just completely wrong on how they spawn, at least for me they spawn randomly across your land the second you build a vagrant house. (can't speak for the merchant though, I never keep him around long enough to find out, he's always in the way of progress) At first when I saw one spawn in front of my eyes miles from the nearest camp I thought it was a bug, but after this I think the wiki is just flat out wrong.
