can only send one group of knights bug

i have noticed a bug where you can only send one group of knights to attack a portal, it might be from bringing another knight from a previous island and only letting you send that one

another bug, sent knights left and destroyed all the portals and mountain portal then went to start sending knights right to destroy the portals on that side and access lighthouse and couldn't send any knights right (this is norse lands)

To send knights to a portal they need to be grouped with archers, and they have to be present at the wall. Are both conditions met?

I’m having the same problem. I have plenty of archers, but they won’t group behind my knights....this is also Norse lands.

Same issue still having, only 1 knight will go. Even though I have two nights on the wall. This is norselands.

Pay twice or thrice for every single knight on the wall. Pay four coins for 1, then four for 2 and four again for 3 kinghts.

Finally I just gave up, after seeing all the similar problems I started over and right away I could send two knights. Norselands is filled still with bugs, and this game has been out for awhile. I remember when I first got it and the crown would do an endless save and never save. But on my first playthrough from putting the game down and coming back to now. While yes they have fixed some bugs, some crucial bugs remain and the knight one is huge because it's the only way to progress is to take out the portals.

guys this isnt a bug.
each knight can have between 0 and 4 archers attached to them.
you cannot send a knight/squire unless they have at least one archer attached.
in norselands, an archer can become attached only if they have a shield, and are nearby the knight.

buy more shields, or higher more archers, and you will see your problem go away.

also, archers are never shared between knights. if you have three knights, and one knight has 4 archers attached, and the other two have zero archers attached, you can send only one knight

It should be as teleshoes has said.

For Norse Lands, knights need archers attached and archers need shields to do so.

I'm very grateful for finding this thread, this is something I've been struggling with a lot. Unfortunately, on my current island, I can't expand to the right enough to get a shield hut in there. I've already expanded a little in that direction (just enough to get a scythe hut) but any further has a demon door blocking the way.

Does anyone know if you can expand past an active door? What happens if it ends up inside your kingdom? Is there any way to send nights inside to fight it?

I cannot figure out what to do and I'm starting to lose hope for this run of this island, just hoping I can come back with archered knights at a later date and send those to clear the path to the right until I can get a shield hut in there.

Right now I have a full battalion of shielded archers with 3 knights (and a zillion shielded builders because I was trying to entice the archers from the other side to armour up before I realised it must be side dependant) over on the left towards the docks, but I only have 3 lonesome knights with no assistants on the right :(

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Please help!

nope, you cannot expand beyond a portal, the workers will never go there.

note that if you have a shield shop on either side, archers will come to it from either side. just hire more archers, and buy some shields.

if you dont have shiels on either side, but you havent upgraded your outermost wall all the way, and you dont mind being a little cheat-ish, pay for the wall upgrade, and immediately save+quit. when you return, a new random structure will appear.

if you upgraded all walls, and you literally cannot build any more walls, let the greed destroy your outermost wall. wait until the shops disappear, and rebuild.
