As far as i know cats spawn randomly in forests had about three.
When you tame them they mostly laze around farms.

ty for hint (on 1st island didnt find them anyway, have to sail to another island but after 110 days def is hard af, especially with this new weak walls, and for this reason there is no time to search for cats)

island with cat chariot you got cat at the "merchant" spot, so don't "clear" it before you get the cat achievement

cats spawn pretty fast,, then u can clear merhant spot,, as they stay there
rest of the game *just might change colors thats all ;D

and that 6th island statue ,,, i try like evrything me brain come up with
and for now conclude that this be an co-op happening

some day in future devlopement u be able to get u mount transport/port onto what island u want, so all else island with a cat will then work for u achivement

I got achievement by just building wall around beggar camp =D
when I recruited the cat, took him to the farm and the achievement unlocked
