Buggy buildings in Norselands?
Not sure if this is an actual bug or "feature" but with the additional buildings in Norselands they have become very unpredictable and frustrating. I feel like maybe it has to do with how many additional new buildings there are and how they replace things like catapults but I'm not sure. Here are some examples.

I'm currently on Island 5 I had a farmer hiring stand fairly early on, as you do. I was having issues keeping one side of my base alive and had a wall that was constantly dropping, thus the farming stand would disappear until i rebuilt the wall. I reinforced that side, upgraded my base, and instead of getting a farming stand again I got the shield house. No issue I thought the farm stand will pop up on the other side where I have empty space. Well it never did. I expanded in both directions with tons of free space and I haven't gotten another farm stand to spawn no matter what I do.

I've had a similar but different issue with the potion vendor for making berzerkers. I'll specifically plan out so I can get one on each side of my base, but sometimes two will appear on one side and I'll never get one on the other side no matter how I structure it. This is really frustrating considering they basically act as a replacement for catapults, but with catapults they always reliably showed up on both sides if you had space.

I've also had issues where the stones for selecting which item you are holding just never build.

I don't know if there is an easy solution to this, but I thought I would just post in the hope the devs may see. I've been playing since OG kingdom and even the other Two Crowns expansions don't really seem to have this issue, even the ones with new / extra buildings.

unpredictability of shops is a key gameplay feature....that is REALLY annoying. i wish there was a way to have it be difficult, without it being random, vitally important, and all-or-nothing.

youre absolutely right, tho, there is DEFINITELY a bug, new since conquest update, that very occasionally results in one building type not showing up, no matter how much you expand or upgrade your camp. i have had this happen, several times, with the item-change shop and the farm shop, tho never with the shield shop.

i dont just mean 'enough' space, either. i mean 6 or 7 walls out on either side, far far away.

one thing that HAS fixed it; pay to upgrade a wall (any wall except the camp walls), and then save+quit. when you resume, the shop that you were missing will INSTANTLY appear somewhere, before the wall you were building is even built. (you can also use this method to cheat and get a different random building, but dont do that, its actual cheating).

I once lost a scythe shop to upgrading my wall because it got replaced by another building, yay having only one farmer when you just spent 11 gold on a mill -_-

i buy 6 farmers as soon as i get the scythe shop, before i even buy a farm, and then deliberately upgrade twice to get the next shop.

Like I said I've played since classic. I have about 50 or 60 hours in both classic and new lands and only picked up Two Crowns when this DLC came out. I only played the Shogun campaign a bit before playing Northlands. There is some unpredictability in all the other iterations of the game but if you have played enough its pretty easy to know what to expect. Northlands feels almost totally random, and the bug part definitely feels like the whole having empty space but nothing pops up there. Haven't played dead lands yet but I had no issues with Shogun, even with the ninja buildings that behave similar to the shield houses. I'm guessing it's all the other new buildings causing an issue.

Good to know about the save+quit thing. Ill give it a shot next time i have issues.

When the Scythe Shop fell on one side of the wall, what is on the opposite side of the walls? I assume it's the Shield Shop or Stones of Power right?

Happened to me before where the Scythe Shop fell and when I expanded the other side, the Scythe Shop appear on that side with the Shield Shop/Stones of Power moving further out. Rebuilding the wall where the initial Scythe Shop was located didn't bring it back, it became another Shield Shop. I think the game logic will flag which side the shops get destroyed and rebuild them on the other side when it expands. It will not appear again on the same side until the other side fell as well and will alternate sides thereafter.

p.s.: this is a real BUG, in ADDITION to the (related but separate) we-dont-like-this-feature complaints.
