the initial release had a few awful bugs which soured the experience for many. all THREE of the major bugs that i experienced have now been FIXED, though, by the most recent patch. really fast turnaround time by the devs makes up for the botched release, imo.
if youre expecting a whole new game, it is definitely NOT. however, it IS more than just a fresh coat of paint.
i vote: worth it.
You have puzzles now and fighting workers. Also upgrading your walls is difficult and they break down more easily.
With your skills you need to actively defend your walls later on.
This changes the pacing, and if you like that or not depends on you.
So if you played the basegame for 50+ hours recently, wanting a fresh experience, I would wait.
If you just want the best of the game with some neat additions, it's well worth the 7 bucks, imo.
Edit: HOWEVER I prefer to play as one ruler and restart when my crown gets taken. So if you play normally as in just playing the game after getting your crown stolen its probably easier.
as for the crabs, a shieldwall usually takes care of them, right?
