I had already done the tutorial on the save file I was restarting. I had to do it like 4 times before it let me skip.
So annoying.
If you do not do the tutorial again, it will be required in all other save slots when restarting the campaign, because it’s unrelated to the save slots. It’s like if the game only kept 1 piece of info about the player having completed the tutorial: it either thinks you have done it, or not.
One thing that might trigger this annoying situation, is when you (accidentally or not) chose NOT to skip the tutorial when starting a new campaign. That action probably deletes the log that attested that you had completed the tutorial before, and it will go back to consider that have never done it.
So let’s say you’re starting a Shogun campaign again, and that you press left or right, instead of holding down. Then you see the Ghost, and you think: “Oh no, forgot to skip!” ESC > Campaign > Restart. Nope! It won’t work. The Ghost now forgot they have ever met you. You can close the game, restart the campaign again and again, use other save slots, it doesn’t matter. You’ll have to do the tutorial once again
It certainly is a tiresome behavior worth changing.
Also on one island it's stuck telling me to upgrade a tower and it's still there even if I upgrade it. Message is the same as if I was holding a hermit ("sth sth ingenuity sth sth possibilities"), but I don't. (EDIT: actually it's on several islands, tells me to upgrade one tower regardless if I have a hermit on me, persists through monarchs)
Hm, not ideal but okay. But what about it giving me an instruction to upgrade a tower even if I have no hermit with me, and I even tried upgrading it fully, and it's still there tell me to upgrade it lol. Sounds like a bug, right?
There is the option to skip the tutorial. You can usually press the down arrow twice at the start of the game to skip it. Kingdom Eighties has the option to disable the ghost in the menu should you wish to play it.
Also, maybe just a chill a bit. It's a nice game. The ghost just wants to help.
