How does one finish Dead Lands? What is the goal?

Been playing this for many hours and I still have no idea what the point of this game is. I just keep building things and a boat, I take the boat elsewhere to again build things and a boat again, found 5 islands so far in Dead Lands. How does someone reach the end credits to Dead Lands? Thanks in advance.

Same as you do in the normal game? Destroy all caves.

i kinda wouldent recomend start with dead lands DLC :D *it might be a real extra challenge

ah yes it be plenty around to open with gems most island
and build the boat ready to go,,, it pop up a depony man guard** just behind boat,for u store it
soo when u plan leave u can take out *1 coin for each gem , what u want when u to leave

u light the bomb soo it got they greed killed since the breeders hive blast off
even if u die and startback island #1


just make sure to take out and upgrade they lighthouse in the other end of the island :D
for easy access on/of ,,if u have gems to use from another island
*like u want gems to bring they statues alive before u leaving islands ,,
to be maken u stronger in the very end

aaaah YES even more important ..use u GEM to bring home the Hermits on each island

since u new to this and that DLC is a tuff nutt to crack
i kinda want to warn u .. without be all sure **(alot stuff be random)
be on a secure island with bankier *bank filled up with cash

soo u make it tru the winter time .that start day 50.. *(again can be random)
but normally last 15 days

Winter starts on Day 48 and lasts until Day 64 (each season lasts 16 days, and it's the fourth season). The next is 112-128. You can probably finish the game before then if you're quick, but I've yet to manage it (in one reign, at least).

hmm ,, if u still got enough men ?, give em hammer
u have 2 to move the bomb ** into cave ,,, u need to move u person on horse far in.. soo bomb is on right spot .. before u light it with 4-5 coins ..and then run out cave instant

(( about same as it is outside the portal wall))
u need to get horse infront the portal before u activate bomb and get inside


seems to me u need to pay 3 coins and recrut more workers

as soon u get more worker ,, they will then start build on the boat again

= u proberly lost plenty when u fail smack the breeders hive ,, inside the tunnel last time ;D

when you get into the portal during the bomb event you have to fight your way into the heart of the greed's nest, through a number of greed spawners you must destroy to advance

the number of greed spawners you must fight through is dependent on the island you are on, on island 1 there is one, on island 2 there are 2 and so on.

once you get past all the destructible greed spawners you'll come across the heart of the nest, keep advancing until your bomb doesn't move any further and the eyes on the bomb begin to glow red, pop in your coins and run as fast as you can out of the nest.

youll know the bomb is armed as the cave will start to shake and rumble... on the later islands its highly recommended you bring the griffon mount so you can escape the nest before it explodes (or if your in deadlands the vampire bat monarch)

if you leave the nest before doing the above and lighting the bomb the event will be cancelled and the units you brought with you into the portal exit with you and begin to retreat back to your walls, the bomb is lost.

it sounds like on their way back from the mountain portal you may have lost the 3 builders you had with you in the bomb event and thus if those where all the builders you had no one was around to build the boat or move the new bomb

its also possible your issues were caused by a glitch if you did escort the bomb in and it didn't allow you to place coins in it or you did have builders and they were just not doing their job.

i've never come across such a glitch though so it can't be too common, either way i'd say give it another go if you're up to it... failing and trying again are part of the game.. even if you do fail to frustrating glitches every once and a while

fix boat ,, and travell next island use GEM on open and get more of the Hermits
they are important to progress ,, u can allways get back to this island later on
recrut more men build u bankier first maybe ... :D

u die and u end up back Island #1 *that one u allready cleared , soo then u can just travel on
*after some small maintance first..

my favorit mount be the the Stag on island #2 and then the unqicorn on island #5

to get more builders hire more vagrants from the camps out in the forests and buy hammers from the stall on the left of your town center and they should get right to work

once a peasant has a tool you can't really change them from the job they have, unless they lose the tool to the greed.
