How to get rid of the annoying tutorial ghost?!

So I am on my third island now, and every time I pick up a hermit the thrice damned ghost pops up "hey over here!". This is almost as annoying as the pixie from Zelda... How do I get it to stop showing up? I know how to play the game, this is extremely annoying.

This thing just randomly shows up, hounding me to do crap I've already done, or that I knowingly don't want to do. It's ridiculous that there's no way to turn it off.

Would be really nice if they could add a menu option to turn off the tutorial ghost during fresh start or the annoying a wise ruler deposits his stuff

im not quite sure but doesnt the ghost disappear if you skip the intro?

Mostly, but on one recent playthrough, it turned up after a while demanding that I hand over my money to the banker.

He reappears sometimes on later islands for no reason, you need to do it before you can get past some of the invicible blockers.

It's supposed to, but every single time I pick up a hermit, it shows up like a cat when it hears a catnip bag being shaken.
