Came here to ask this question. Does the game provide an actual win condition or is it auto kill by winter again?

I am unsure if you can live through it, but you only get three days to prepare.

I wonder if spearmen still fish during winter or if the water is frozen. Only on the third island myself and haven't experienced winter yet.

Two Crowns has seasons now: Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter. Each seasson is 16 days long.

Do each island have a seperate cycle, or do all islands share the season countdown?

All islands share, from what I've seen. Left island 3 near the beginning of winter to try to 'escape' it, went back to island 1 to see what going back was like, and winter remained until day 64.

And I just so happened to land on the third island just before winter struck, great. Oh, well. This is at least not New Lands. I can recover quickly enough.

Wait, how are we suppose to survive if we change islands right as winter hits? Anyone got any bright ideas?

Switch to an island you have already conquered and made a lighthouse for. You both save the money for the boat and you can build out an existing colony.

No no no. If you travel to the new island right as winter starts. You don't have enough money to remake the boat. Basically bad game design because I just game overed myself by learning a new game mechanic =\ Winter is fun to survive, but it's not fun if you aren't warned that winter stays with you. They should have just made it impossible to travel to a new island when winter starts =\ I don't know... ice blocks the way?

Lighthouses enables you to keep the boat for free. Also, the bookkeeper gives you rent for the money you give him, and to top it off; the greed aggression resets on new islands. Just remember to build lighthouses and everything will be fine regardless of what happens.

Also just got to winter with a coop buddy, and we have no gold on third island... So we have to wait 16 days doing nothing?

If you paid the bookkeeper beforehand will you be able to generate money on your own. If not... good luck. The Greed will grow more aggressive for each passing day.

Who is the book keeper and how would you know what he does? This is our first playthrough, haven't played kingdom since 2015, are you just supposed to know these things beforehand? Or playing the game first time and then stumble into this issue and have to restart over?

The bookkeeper is the guy that stands in the town square during the day after you have upgraded past tents.

And don't worry. Two Crowns are REALLY soft when it comes to failure. Ridiculously soft.

Edit: Except gems, oh the pain of losing gems. Two words: No Respawn.
