Cant access local coop

I dont know if i am blind, but i cant start the game with local coop.. Like it starts solo normaly but allows me to have online multiplayer only, i even plugged in controller as well and nothing.. Any tips?

There isn't any local co-op? That's the only reason I was planning to buy the game. The steam store indicates that it has local co-op.

"You can either play with two gamepads, two players on one keyboard or one gamepad and keyboard. Simply click "k" or "j" to activate player 2."

i just pressed a button on another controller and it asked if i wanted to start local co-op

It will port whatever their character looks like on their own save file they have open when joining the game.
