Differences between Shogun and normal game?

I know shogun have ninjas, not sure how these are trained or if they replace anything, and I also think the normal kings have pikemen but shogun don't?

Is there a complete list of actual differences between modes that aren't just visual?

Pikemen gets switched with ninjas that hide in bamboo shrubbery and flank the greed, rest of the game is pretty identical, also pikemen can fish during winter and is your only income, other than that there's not much difference.

The biggest, and most impactful, difference between normal and shogun modes is that tree density is greatly increased in shogun mode. This means it takes longer to deforest.
