Never ending Winter

This part of the game killed the fun for me.

I read that it long 15 days, and there is nothing to do : no farm, no rabbit, no deer. So no income gold. Devs say they will improve winter.
Hint : never quit an island during winter because season is the same on next island, if it's a new island, no gold to upgrade walls and hire people equal death.
Other hint, try quit and reload, maybe a bug (infinite night is a bug too that I experienced and others in forum)

Winter ends. There's a seasons cycle, 16 days each. Winter starts on Day 48 and ends on day 64, then starts again 48 days after that, so every 64 days. Winter starts on Day 48, 112, 176, etc.

Yeah excatly, if you don't have a banker and a daily profit you're going to fail.
In some guide and experience of mine spearmen save the day. But if you don't have any banker or spearmen. RIP... lol

Stay in island 1 or 2 utilizing the trader. Every ingame day is equal to 4 minutes (set up an alarm every 4 min while you do other stuff maybe?). Setup a baker while you're at it. You pretty much get a full bag of coins throughout winter with the trader alone. Bank some of it to get more interest from banker.

Usually I get to winter on island 4, and use it to push to the cliff portal. At that time you should have saved 120+ coins in castle, so you will get +8 coins every day from interest. Even if you don't have pikemans.

Pikemen are as useful as helicopter ejector seats. They usually lose the spear after a night and even if they do not they just stop collecting gold anyway.

Just buy them at the morning. One pikeman will get 6-8 coins during day, so they anyway earn their investement back.

Also you could use Lizard mount to burn Greed before it even reach you wall, so pikeman won't even attack.

I just go afk during the winter, it's sad, but there's litereally nothing to do, it's not "hard" to survive, and even if there did come more monsters during the winter there wouldn't be any way for the monarchs to combat them unless they had the lizard or Griffin/Bear.

I do hope the devs add something to make the winter more interesting, something to give monarchs something to do, maybe make it so you can travel and check up on your islands in the meantime xD so there is something to do, and it doesn't start from the "start" when you travel to a new one, so to speak.

Wha do you mean "Nothing to do at winter"? It's exactly the same as in any other season, just your source of income switches from archers to banker.

Our banker seemed to run out of money, pikemen are useless after 2 attacks. We didn't have a lizard or Griffin/Bear. 50 minutes of sitting around defeated the fun we were having up to that point. It looks like the devs are aware of this issue.
