How I get diamonds?

How I get diamonds in this game? And how i can upgrade my walls with stone? Thx

not to spoil to much, but if you are that far you haven't looked around to much if you still are on wood ;)

I'm actually pretty impressed, you reached island 5 without exploring the islands you were on? Usually on the first day of arriving at a new island I go all the way to the far left and far rights of the island to see everything available on the island. Since the enemy day count resets, the first wave is like 2 greed at most, which I can easily pay off with coin.

Using this free reign I'm able to see alot of whats going on in the island before I plan out my kingdom.

The fact that you managed to fix up your boat each time and set sail to new islands without fully exploring the islands is actually quite impressive, all I could tell is that the islands get more difficult than the last, and you made it to island 5 without even unlocking stone.

Just to save you the effort of looking, the stone upgrade is on island 2, just explore that island a little more. You'll also find red chests on the ground that will have gems inside of them. Be careful though, gems cannot be reobtained if they are lost.

Building the boat without fully exploring the island isn't that impressive as it just takes gold and a bit of time. I mostly have the boat repaired almost immediatly after I have setup basic camp and expanded to the outer walls. But then I go explore the islands as you do to see what there is to find on it. As I learned from New Lands that without exploring the island you will not find the unlocing shrines for new tech.

Only focusing on bowmen and 3 builders is more than enough to pass the 4 first island pretty fast. One small wall and 2 bowtowers each side of the castle will totally clear first days' waves, and as you can go for the next island in less than 7 days, no big deal. For gold, just cut most of the trees, and plenty of rabbits will spawn, but things seem to be more complicated on the 5th island indeed.

I actually explored all the islands, but on island 2 i've been stuck at the wrong side of a portal while beeing full of diamonds, and been stolen all of them without beeing killed, so i coulnd't unlock that very stone stuff cause no more dimaond on the whole island (I guess that was the altar, didn't know what it was).
I unlocked then all the things and the mounts I could on the following islands except those linked to the stone.
I spent all the diamonds in the game so no stone for me.

I might be unlucky, but the bad game design plus the fact diamond spawns are limited totally ruined my run, I guess i'll have to restart...
