Gem Bank

I came back to this game and saw the gem bank for the first time. I didn't know what it was so I paid my gem, and then paid a coin and got it back. Okay, got it! Since then, though I can't seem to deposit another gem. Night time or day time. Is there something I need to do?

I figured out what was going on. There's a build point next to my bank and though it doesn't look like it I actually have to be on the other side of the build point from the bank graphic to use it.
