Blue Moon???

i was playing it was about my 83rd day i believe when as night arrived, i saw a blue moon. there was no blood moon music nor did i hear the warning sound for a blood moon. However, what i did hear was crackling which turned out to be a crown stealer, which are not supposed to pop up on normal nights until about night 200. it is said that they spawn around night 80, but only during blood moons. i cannot find any information on blue moons online. Has this happened to anyone else? If you need more info, i was on island 3, had destroyed all portals except the cave, stone age, died once around day 50, playing 2 players, destroyed the docks portals on island 1-2-3, was riding the griffin (second player had warhorse) playing in shogun, had expanded my base all the way left (except a single wall spot) had more money than i could bear and had a full castle chest. tell me if you need more info

Hmm I haven't encountered blue moon, but for a few times, after loading new game, the day started, the sun showed itself, but the sky remained black and was that till sunset.

I'm not sure if you mean you started a very new game or loaded a game, but I'll note anyway that the sky goes ominously dark after destroying a portal.

If it happened spontaneously, maybe it's a bug related to that.

ok i believe this to be a bug since now they spawn every night

It was new campaign in the current beta patch. It happens after I load previous game state, or once when I approache new island and the first day on new island is pitch black too.

Crown stealers are not purely connected to blood moons, they appear more frequent and in increasing numbers the longer you play.

well, the wiki says that they would appear around night 80 during a blood moon, which would have made sense, but it also says they do not spawn before night 200 on non blood moons

I have encountered this blue moon too. However for me it appeared on night 124 a day after a blood mood. The sky is clouded and top left is a constellation of some kind, I would describe it as the base drawing for the chest, spine, shoulders, and arms of a human. This has only ever happened to me on this game. Being that I have had ten other runs which lasted about five hundred or so in game days. So I believe it might be a randomised even with a very low chance of happening
