Hacker Evolution

So who here is working on their own missions?
With the latest revision to the linux edition of the game and working on a related project it got me to thinking about a few things I'd whipped together awhile back. So, has anyone decided to give a go at making their own material to play with and or share?

If you plan on making new levels, you have my full support and we can also include it in the actual game ;)

I cannot find the mod editor on linux, does it exist?
exosyphen  [developer] May 21, 2014 @ 3:02pm
The Mod Editor is only available on Windows.

Thanks, are you thinking of porting it?
Kingemocut May 21, 2014 @ 5:07pm
robmobz, you can make the mods by hand (I.E. from plain coding) as even after the mod is made, it's still fairly understandable in its plain text format. the mod editor is only a Visua editor IMO, of helping to automate the creation.

Porting the Mod Editor is not possible because it relies on MFC.
I will see what options we have to make a cross platform mod editor.

I could go for a browser based one perhaps.

but then there's all the problems with I.E. ... if you do do that (which sounds awesome), you could make it so anyone still using IE should get a message saying "and what are you doing using I.E. still" at the very bottom :P

:)) It was just a tought.
I just had a stroke of genius. I will use Unity. It has the 2 essential things I need:
- GUI management
- Cross platform management

Unity3D? XD dude, i had to use unity i college. decent games engine at best. the GUI's terrible, and the licening isn't that good. not really for stuff like this though, as it'd be a lot more flash style IMO. :P
