Thanks for making me regret my purchase even more...

i don't want to argue here. i have a save game that i can't play for 2 weeks. i even started a disscusions and asked if someone can help or has the same problem. the best tip was, i should load an older save game where you haven't accepted the side mission(symmetry) yet. that you should reload and save the save game, i read about that for the first time. i tried it with reload and save but symmetry isn't visible in my headquarters.

Have you tried reinstalling the game? Are you sure the savefile is not a older version of the game (not sure if the savefile will be upgraded to the new version).

Other than that i agree that your problem is unfortunate. Especially if you can not find a way to solve it. What OS are you using?

Could always put the game aside, and play it in a year, if they then have completed the DLCs and fully worked on their patches.

Same thing happened to me when i purchased Rome 2, it was absolutely ♥♥♥♥ in the beginning. But now they totaly overhauled certain things in the game and its actualy more or less a charm to play once in a while. See the game as a future investment, you dont have to totaly play the game into oblivion getting accustomed to it now..

Well i reinstalled the game, and started from scratch, no more helipad buggs. What buggs are you experiencing? Is it that you can load a savefile you did 2 weeks ago?, what if you restart and make a new savefile, can you load that one?

Perhaps you can not access savefile because the version is older game.

I bought the deluxe edition but I held off on playing it so I could see if there were any major problems reported with it first, holding off on refunding for now but if this keeps up for another few months I definitely will be doing so.

I have put in request for a refund 3 times now with zero response from Rebellion. Also I have posted a comment on this thread that looks like it has been taken down. Denial is the abyss people throw themselves into.

Rebellion is a small company i don't understand either why everyone so harsh about it. They need money to stay afloat and all that season and measly dlc that add just a droplets of content is a necessary evil in the current game development META, They trying they have adressed already a solid chunk of bugs and keep polishing the game. Then.....promptly ignored their fan base who just dumped a load of cash into a game nostalgia that never materialized as any continuation of the original Evil Genius. The basic mechanics of the game have been completely ignored. All the complaints have been ignored and you could spend 30-50 dollars on a better game with solid lore and mechanics. Just look at all the great games by small companies like Valheim by Coffee Stain a small Swedish based company. Their game come out amazing on launch and any bugs or glitches they jumped on right away. They have stayed in open communication from day one and sold their game for 19.99 and there is more content to come that you don't have to pay for or pay for a pass.

It's not that they are small, it's that they obviously jumped in for the cash grab. They are competing with an over saturated market and next to no one I know ever heard of Evil Genius or Evil Genius 2. Do you get it?

Just a point of correction, Valheim is not made by Coffee Stain, Coffee Stain is just a publisher. Valheim is created by Iron Gate AB which is the small Swedish company.

Anyone else having problem with this. first mission second time he is supposed to appear on the world map he doesnt appear and your side quests get stuck.

Tried reloading and advancing main objective but nothing has worked

Hi folks,
We are aware of the issue and rolled out a patch which hopefully manages to resolve this issue and the lair based issues attached to Symmetry.

Unfortunately, this patch doesn't affect retroactively so if you already have the issues you'll need to load an old save file from before the issues cropping up and make sure the game is fully updated. That will hopefully fix the issue, however if it doesn't please ping us a support request at https://support.rebellion.com/hc/en-gb

I think YOU need to read it again (or multiple times) because there is only one season pass, and it's included with that one.

This is the worst take that people have period... yeah different teams, but your company has an overall budget/resource allocation - devote MORE of that to the people working on fixing crap, and less on the team building new crap, and releasing a paid DLC almost right after the game actually launched. People don't realize how much of a kick it is to launch a DLC that quickly.

Curios, how art team even could fix gameplay bugs? :) New dlc just a bunch of models and sprites with reused mechanics.
