Building Bug (game breaking)

For some reason I cannot build anymore!

It happened on one save and it spread to all my saves. I started a new game and it followed through to their too!

I cannot even do the tutorial.

Edit:

I've verified my game files and reinstalled the game (with checking in between if any fixes worked and they didn't).

So no joy so far but I'm open to suggestions.



I've started another game using a different mastermind and map which seems to be working fine but Max on the first isle is broken.



It seems to have an issue with the stairs even though there is certainly no issue. I am concerned that it seems to spread around the saves although I have tested it and even after a reload it (does not) effect my new mastermind and new isle.

Something is blocking the way, which is why you can't build anything. Some objects have huge hit boxes and it's not always clear what's being blocked. It looks like something off screen is in the way. Maybe it's an AC unit or the stairs are the wrong way around.

It would just pop up randomly while playing that map with Max. I think it might have something to do with the submarines also but I cannot confirm.


The screenshot however was to show how it effected max across the saves (that is in the tutorial - nothing yet has been build and so it should be impossible for there to be an issue)
