brain washer 2000

I am at a point in the game were I have to brainwasher 2000 to advance the store and it says that there is a thing I can put in the prison but when I click on the prison tab nothing shows up. Can someone help.

I'm having the same issue, please let me know if you were able to fix it?

Allegedly one should get the brainwasher from the research tab but I don't see it there?
