The primary reason win 7 users are in no rush to go W10.

Not everyone can have 2 PC's with both options.

Again, what games don't run on W10. I play plenty of 20 year old games and haven't found any that won't run on W10 - Fallout 1 & 2, Arcanum, Thief trilogy, Splinter Cell...

Baldur's gate 1-2, Arcanum, Icewindale, the vast majority of 90's cRPGs, Morrowind (funnily enough), Warcraft 3, Quake games (the good ones), Doom wads, C&C. Evil Genius 1 , Dungeon Keeper, the list goes on and on and only gets bigger the more you enjoy older games where Windows 7 was the last Windows OS that actually runs them. Wouldn't be shocked if Diablo 1/2 doesn't work or older Blizzard games and I wouldn't be shocked if it doesnt. Here's another list somebody else made. Notice how none of the games on it are games I personally want to play that cease to work.

Shilling before launch and driving false hype with NDAs isn't a copypasta. It's the mark of a game that the buyer should beware. Literally the only reason I know about this game is because of the hype campaign and it's not in a positive way from past experiences. Hope it's good, but the red flags are flying.

As for windows 10, I don't like how it performs and I don't like getting a free OS in exchange for it constantly datamining me. You have a choice with your PC on operating system whereas with a smartphone you may as well not have one because Google has aggressively put its API in just about everything and disabling it begins breaking numerous QoL features that you'd think would be unrelated or manageable without Google API.

I like Icewindale, Baldur's Gate, Planescape, Arcanum, Dungeon Keeper, Majesty, Gothic, all old games that tend to not even run on Windows 10. I don't intend to upgrade my OS and lose out on those games just to play one that sunk money into an abrasive marketing campaign to cover up what it must be otherwise lacking.

If you pretend it doesn't exist hard enough maybe it'll stop existing. Worked good last time you picked an issue with a singular topic within one of my posts then ignored the rest because you literally have no argument to present.

This also brings me back to another point I had made. Modding. Do any of these games have especially alive modding scenes and Denuvo? Of the ones that do, did people have to develop external tools because the internal options were inadequate and limited, if at all?

Again, what games don't run on W10. I play plenty of 20 year old games and haven't found any that won't run on W10 - Fallout 1 & 2, Arcanum, Thief trilogy, Splinter Cell...

Baldur's gate 1-2, Arcanum, Icewindale, the vast majority of 90's cRPGs, Morrowind (funnily enough), Warcraft 3, Quake games (the good ones), Doom wads, C&C. Evil Genius 1 , Dungeon Keeper, the list goes on and on and only gets bigger the more you enjoy older games where Windows 7 was the last Windows OS that actually runs them. Wouldn't be shocked if Diablo 1/2 doesn't work or older Blizzard games and I wouldn't be shocked if it doesnt. Here's another list somebody else made. Notice how none of the games on it are games I personally want to play that cease to work.

You should buy (most of) these old games on GOG, they work perfect on W10 for me. The old CD-versions? Sure they might not work, but the digital versions do.

Virtually everything on those lists that I own works for me on W10. Some I own on GOG, most on Steam. Evil Genius certainly works for me here.

I had to make one other comment. I don't normally do this but I am so sadden to see so many arm chair operating system experts. If any of you had a clue, Windows 10 is amazing. It is 10 times faster than Windows 7 and is designed for gaming. Bunch of baboons.
