Although with the new heating mechanic the game is very much not worth playing.
cheers for the reply.
yh... the heatin system i didn't / couldn't stick around long enough to test out the heating system barely into making an attempt to build "cooling towers" for my power plants before i had to exit the game due to the spinning making me dizzy :<
ill give it another go at some point,
but if it works anything like adding the chairs/fountains/fans did to slow down/stop stat drops did its going to be a headache to deal with as just adding the mood boosts in realistic locations i have o.c.d with attempting to make my bases look orderly and tidy...
im REALLY not looking forward to placing heaters and/or coolers literally 20 spots apart from each other everywhere =/...
Some things you can try:
- Play in a well-lit room, and sit as far away from your screen as you can.
- Make sure your frame rate is as high as it can go and is as smooth as possible. Smooth frame rates are better than fast. You might experiment with Vulkan vs DX12.
- Set the game to play in a wide aspect ratio, even if you see black bars on the top and bottom.
- Eat ginger (insert off-colour Gilligan's Island joke here). Candied ginger works pretty well for me for mild vertigo. Gravol is a medication for more serious sickness, but it can have powerful side effects so don't take if you need to stay alert, and if you take it more than a couple of times consult a physician.
- Put a tiny dot of tape in the middle of your monitor.
EDIT: Looking at the Settings:
I don't know if Mouse Lag will do anything for you or not.
There are a number of camera locks and camera speed settings for you to experiment with. The default seems to be 100, so if yours are different, well, there you go. Otherwise, you could try slowing down the camera. You could also try Fixed Camera Rotation - these last options are all in the Accessibility menu in-game.
(far as i can remember pretty much everythings the same pc wise as it was before),
but ill have a lookie when i next boot EG2 up,
maybe its due to the different camera control style, and long time being inactive on this,
ben playing a few other games for quite some time and am pretty sure they had different camera controls or something..... but mah. we'll see.
im sure its nothing :)
(most likely just need to get into the correct mood for the game... or at least the correct mood to deal with fafing around with the heating system
