Engineers

[Arrogance]

So I am going to assume I'm doing something wrong here. I've unlocked engineers and for a bit they were doing what they were supposed to do. I'm playing as Max and I'm right after the point in the game where you need to gather the items to build the midas touch. I have 5 boards, 2 think pods and 2 advanced workbenches and currently atm 50 engineers. I've scaled back on techs as a result. Not a single engineer is doing any type of tech generation.

Any suggestions?
