How to stop minions running into your traps?
I have a few corridors of traps and a armoury at the end of it. What i want to happen is for the agents to go through the traps and then all the muscle minions to finish them off en masse at the end. What actually happens is one of the other minions starts fighting with the agents in the trap corridors and then a few muscle minions sometimes come out to help. Have tried various camera placements but not much seems to help.

Agent get flagged as distract in the casino but there doesn't seem to be a way to remove the flag, only change it so i can't stop minions interacting with agents unless i turn off the auto distract.

Am i missing something here?

This is a little more feasible when you unlock the kill zone tech... But otherwise, no. You are not missing anything.

The only advice I can give is to have the trap hall and armory go somewhere the minions don't care about going. It's not going to prevent minions from walking in there, but it'll mitigate it a little.

You should untag the agents if you want your minions don't engage them while in trap area. So you can lure them without any minions interaction. If you want your muscle finished them by the end of corridor with auto tag them, you need do separate corridor area from trap corridor area. So that way when you put auto tag interaction, your trap corridor will not get marked that auto tag interaction from your other corridor

Auto distract mechanic is just poorly implement. I suggest create a rooms in casino to create a zone for auto distract tag zone and a zone where you will manually remove auto distract tag.

Yes managing a casino or distraction mechanic in this game required micro but casino in the game is quite powerful if you have a proper layout.

W/ minions getting caught by traps it is just inevitable because traps required constant repair by your technicians.

I suggest create 2 ways entering your lair. One room for your trap corridor w/ doors that are set to lvl 3. Another room w/ less doors and those door are set to lvl 1 so that your minion can move freely then that room is heavily defended by your muscle minion. I strongly suggest don't put to much door in that area because it will cause a bug for your range muscle minion.

Range muscle minion entering and exiting a door while fighting an agent will use their fist instead their guns.

Agents are attracted to lvl 3 doors but it is not 100% proof. Setting some traps in the game is just tedious to make them work and under powered.

Your best chance to stop the fighting with the agents until they get to your kill zone is to NOT tag them with anything. A failed distraction attempt will make them fight. Soldiers often shoot on sight anyway, but the other agents don't. So most agent types you can bring to your kill zone without early fighting.

Your casino will distract agents whether or not they are tagged for distract. I think not realizing that is a big error a lot of new players make.

Unfortunately the traps killing your own guys when they are triggered by agents is just part of the game and can't be avoided.

I prefer to set up a corridor with traps and uncloack the investigators when they enter base proper. It just feels wrong that they walk around taking pictures.
But you can try something else. No traps at all. Let the investigators take their pictures. They do their job and exit and another team of investigators will arrive a minute or two later. No guards killed and no minions killed by traps. You will still have plenty of fighting where main or side quests require you to capture or kill. As long you avoid doing and schemes in regions with active agents they will not arrive to your base.

True I like it when my minions do the Disco Dance ! :)

It was the same in Evil Genius 1 though minions got caught in traps. The idea in this is meant to be if you increase Smarts they tend to get caught in traps less as they are smarter Minions.

If instead of removing parts of the mechanic, the game brought something new. Such as disguised detours for minions that only thieves would notice.

This would make the game better, and solve the problems with the death of the minions in the traps.
