Denuvo Anti-Tamper? REALLY?

No thx bois. I thought that kind of DRM monkey business is history.
I pay STEAM prices to have ONLY STEAM DRM (which is bad enough), not some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DRM on top.
And correct me if I am wrong: That does mean MODs won't work either?

You can block by publisher now with the ignore function. Developers can see this metric so make sure you add to ignore so they can see how much money they actually losing. Be nice if we could ignore and then use a dropdown for Denuvo but this still works to some degree. Greed is the biggest killer in the entire universe. Big or small it corrupts them all. This platform was created to drive sales and it does and it does it well. When you see this anti consumer crap vote with your wallet. In a performance based industry Denuvo has no place. Not for anti tamper or anticheat.

Thanks for the info. I was doing this game by game the hope that enough analysis people figure out it's about denuvo or easy anticheat getting their brand new stuff instant ignores. No products by companies and people with history of rootkit-based anticheat.

I'm not going to say anything long in 2 to 3 paragraphs length, else people will see me as "being smart" and attack me for it (*goes and does it anyway*), but for anyone who just stumble across this thread, ignore it. In fact, stop using Steam forums full stop, it's mainly full of fanboys and trolls. There is a Discord server/guild/group for a reason if you're legit about liking and/or criticising this game fairly and want to talk about it. Dunevo's anti-tamper works okay. And anyone who is saying otherwise (90% of the time) either doesn't know why DRM has to have such invasive and heavy-handed techniques, are straight up pirates, or just hate stuff because they can and they been told so (*cough cough* EGS Haters group *cough cough*).

Don't get me wrong, there are legit reasons why you may not want to buy a game with Dunevo in it. If your PC can't handle a game + Dunevo and you don't have a high-end PC, or if you are worried about your privacy, you don't have to buy this game. Not condoning piracy here, but Dunevo's licensing is kinda expensive. So companies will keep it in for about 2 weeks before removing to gain 2 week sales before letting pirates easily crack the Steam DRM. Then again, you could buy now, wait 2 weeks, and then it's ready for you to play. So there is that option.

(Also, for those "Anti-Dunevo" groups, You have a go at me because of my 2 VAC bans (not 100), 1st I earned because I was dumb when 13/14/15 and messed around with TF2's memory, 2nd was due to dumb Quake Live bots thinking I was "cheating". AFAIK, most of the games that did run poorly were due to due Denuvo being poor implemented. That, and people reporting it don't have average to high-end computers. The low specs makes it harder for Denuvo to run correctly.

Course it would. Because you're now running about 1000 lines less of code related to running Deunvo checks. But for devs, it's good enough to secure the initial sales window. And that's why people went for it. Besides, thanks to the PCMR surge, a lot of people that buy Deunvo protected games tend to have high performance PCs that make the difference not that noticeable because it's being pushed over the refresh rate anyway. And yes, I know. 240 Hz is buttery smooth, and a dip in frames may be noticeable. But for casual PCMR people, they only care if the game works.
