War For the Overworld gives me bouts of cackling laughter. My roomate told me not to play it while he's home...
Not sure why this is relevant to the discussion? They've had 17 years to improve this aspect of the game and for them to just cut it seems pretty lazy.
I miss monkeys!
Most people set up ONE and assumed that was all they needed to do. What actually worked well, was setting up two or more which would cause tourists and agents to spend a lot of time bouncing between the hotels you had set up. The agents had a limited time to each of their 'missions' there at your lair, so the more walking they did, the more time they wasted and eventually had to leave before getting into your lair very deeply or at all.
You know they haven't been working on it for 17 years right?
It did work as intended, but most people missed the point that you need two or more to make it actually effective. Most people expected to set up one and then it would be fine. Once I set up two on opposite corners of the second island, tourists and agents wasted a lot of time going from one to the other and I had a lot less agent issues in my base. Granted that's all a moot point now that we have the sequel releasing in a couple of days.
