Yeah was just hoping it might get an upgrade since some of the past objects have been upgraded a bit. Always thought it would be cool to have more ways to deal with agents & super agents like ways to "recruit" them, similar to GoldenEye: Rouge Agent.
True. I was speaking strictly to the speculation of its affects on enemy units.
BTW, that was one of the things I had the most fun with in EG1; discovering which of my minion benefiting items could be used to torture enemies.
I think it's a neat idea so long as it only works on one specific super agent, not unlike how discovering a super agent's weakness and using it to defeat them in the first game. Having the ability to convert every super agent would be OP IMO.
Like how it was possible to gain access to Dirk. I could see regular agents being brainwashed into service and maybe certain T1 Super Agents. With higher tier super agents/agents needing specific objectives/upgrades, like money or a certain hostage to recruit.
Being able to turn more than one specific super agent, on top of having henchmen, would be too OP. Unless they included something like an Arch Nemesis system wherein one of your evil henchmen you've already recruited "rage quits" and goes to work for the gov't of the super agent you've turned, filled with bitter resentment over your betrayal and looking for revenge.
There are ways they could balance recruiting SA's, like time I think recruiting any super agent would take a lot of time, money and maybe multiple tries similar to the lives of your henchmen. It would be more of a late game resource sink. I was also thinking that recruiting/stealing a SA from one of the organizations would include a large amount of heat. So "recruiting" one would come with certain benefits but would come at a cost. There could also be a cap on how many you could have similar to Freaks, I was just thinking of some of the ways you could "recruit" them besides brainwashing.
This all comes with the hope that there will be more super agents for each org and a higher difficulty.
Oh, there we go. "Dreadpond" (a Deadpool spoof) as a turnable SA.
This way, you'd have to make a choice between just getting rid of a nuisance, or grabbing a new tool at the cost of making a new enemy. Though you could always just sacrifice your new henchmen if he isn't worth the trouble.
As for super heroes, Justice League level powers would be a bit much for the setting but some avengers-esque group with the less mystical members would be interesting. A Black widow, Hawkeye, or Capt America parody would fit nicely into this kind of universe. Some others would as well (Nick Rage, one eyed super-agent), though the heavy hitters like Thor or Hulk don't really fit the theme.
That's actually a great idea, you could gain new henchman with varied abilities but at the cost of heat and essentially creating multiple Steele's. Which while giving you a potentially decent boost on map or at base would also up the difficulty.
And I agree if they did do anything jokey with the new SH trend than Marvel probably has more variety. With Evil Genius's humor a Cpt.Amer or Hawk/Arrow style hero would remind me so much of The Boys, specifically the WWII debacle lol.
Honestly though I would love to see Super Agents and Henchmen themed after G.I. Joe/Cobra.

Special Power: None of your minions/henchmen can actually hit what they're shooting at. Ever.
