My AV says there is a Trojan Trj/Genetic.gen in dinodday.exe is this true. Genetic.gen allows hackers to get into and carry out dangerous actions in affected computers, such as capturing screenshots, stealing personal data, etc.

If it was a virus or trojan, it would not be on steam.

Installed Dino D-Day yesterday and left it to install whilst I did some jobs, after installing had finished I went to click play and it was greyed out in my library. It says that I have 1 minute played today but that it is not installed. The first time I thought perhaps I had done something wrong or not installed it as I thought perhaps, so did it again and the same thing happened. Left it until today and decided to give it another bash, and twice today, whilst trying to install the game, my AV has popped up to say it has neutralised a threat called trj/genetic.gen. I panicked a little as I'm very safe when using my computer and selective in which sites I use, then thought perhaps it could be something to do with the game. I did a search and this thread came up and it seems too much of a coincidence that we've had the same trojan whilst trying to use the same game. Marty, did you have any resolution to this, at all, ie was it definitely the game causing the issue?

It's a false-positive that a lot of people get, it shouldn't be any cause for concern. The game is not a virus, nor does it install viruses. It's safe to add the game to your AV exceptions.
