Problems when i try to launch the game
I bought the game this weekend with the steam's sale. When i tried to launch it the first time, it went without any problem but then i wanted to change the settings. When I launched it again, my monitor started to flash and now i'm not able to play the game anymore. Do you guys know what i should do?

Edit: I did install the game one more time but the second time, it started to blink directly, wasn't even able to launch it at all.

What Windows OS are you using? Try turn DEP off for the game and hyperthreading. Set settings to Windows xp service pack 2 or 3. Can't remember which.

Yes, DEP likes to trigger bugs in the TR trilogy games; I think I had to turn it off for all three of them. I don't think compatibility mode was needed, but I might be wrong.

Also, I found that Legend liked to crash a lot more when I had NG graphics enabled.

I turned off the DEP and everything in the set up to be sure it wasn't about my computer perf' but it's still not working. My screen keeps flashing and my controller does shake without any reason.

Hm... did you try verifying the game cache and all of that standard stuff?

Yep, nothing really works.

Do you have access to the launcher? Maybe something with the settings will help...

i have the same error and nothing of the above seems to work. Same problem with anniversary though. Has noone an idea what could cause this?

Edit: i found a resolve for the problem. at least in my case. it seems that the games are having trouble if you have multiple monitors on your PC. Try to disable all ecxept your main monitor and then try it out.

If you can find the game's configuration file and delete it, it might make the game launch with the first time launch graphics window, which might help fix your problem.

Sorry for the late answer, I haven't been playing a lot lately. So Venomfl was right, it was just about the dual screen problem. I fixed it now. Thanks everyone for the advices.

I had no idea dual monitor's will do that.

I have recently been going through my library and making sure all my games work. I ran into this problem start up flashing screens (last time I played in 2013 I didn't have multi monitors). With Dual Monitors it for some reason works on the second one when both are enabled. But my main screen only works while playing in a single monitor setup.

Wish I knew a fix with both monitors enabled and I can't play on the second one as I had it in potrait mode.

Edit: I figured out the fix, set the compatibility to Disable visual themes and Disable desktop composition, I also set it to WinXP compatibility mode for good measure.
