Create Character

Can we create our own character? or at least rename one?

You can fully customize the name and portrait of characters (as well as changing their sprite colors). When you're on a character's info page, you'll see a little 'wrench' icon next to their name. Click that to bring up the customize menu.

Looks like we don't really have an active player avatar. The thing which annoyed me the most about Battle Brothers. Thankfully that got some players mods which added that later.

Really like the character customization, and after playing the demo, I got to say I'm damn impressed! Definitely will be buying this once you all release it!

I would second the suggestion for a "player avatar type character", always feels too disjointed being a figure from afar giving the orders.

Nonetheless, even if you do not add it, I will still get this game, the demo is quite nice.

I can see the appeal to having your own player avatar. The Advisor, Alaric has one, meanwhile you're just a faceless, nameless entity, that goes by Sir or Ma'am.

Personally, it doesn't bother me much, but for immersion sake, I see the benefit of it.

Guys, you do know that time passes in the game? Unless the "protagonist" (tm) is immortal, this would be difficult. And in a brutal game like this, s/he could die in a dungeon. Look at Darkest Dungeon, glorious without a Main Character. But I get what everyone is saying

so the companions die of old age at some part in the game and we play with a new crew?

Yeah! It was in the blurb, so you could play with the descendants (not Disney's) IIRC

does anyone know the early release price yet I don't see it posted anywhere. As it releases on my Bday I was thinking of asking a family member for it but don't want to if it is to high thanks

It will be $20. I wish we could show the price somewhere but I think they only enable that for pre-orders. Maybe I'll mention it in our next update :)
