All abilities have a ratio (1x, 0.8x, 2x, etc) and that ratio is based off a "basic action".
For physical skills, 1x is basically an Auto-Attack, so if a skill says 1.5x, it means it'll be 1.5x of the damage of an auto-attack damage on the same target, roughly. There are other factors, such as the direction of attack, etc.
For spells, 1x is roughly the damage "a basic spell would do". For offensive spells, the most basic unit is basically the default wizard spells and for healing it's basically the default mender spells.
That number (the 1x) is meant as a general indication of the spell/skill power comparatively.
That being said, if you do 50 HP with a 1x, you will do 75 HP with a 1.5x, all other things being equal.
As for the MND part, that lists which stat the ability is using to calculate its damage/healing/etc. Heal 1 will use the MND stat, which means that you'll see "bigger heals" if your MND stat is higher. Increasing your ATK stat will not help with the spell.
So, the 1x (MND) healing means: 1x coefficient of healing, using the MND stat for calculations.
Rather than:
1x of your MND stat as healing.
Healing doesn't check for the target's resistance, so it's a little different, but in general, all damage/numbers are your stat (say ATK) opposed to the target's stat (say, DEF) and the coefficient is a magnifer applied to that amount.
The above was probably a little needlessy verbose, so,
TLDR:
1x: is a coefficient that represents the spell power and is a way to directly compare spells to eath othe.
MND: tells you which stat inflences the damage/healing for the ability.
The final calculations are not just MND * Coefficient (as for most abilities you will be targetting an opponent with a RES value, etc), but these numbers give you the information you need to know to understand how to make them better.
