I'm going to recommend this game because it has some unique ideas for an Hidden Object Game, but it is very, very repetitive. Instead of the standard list of words, in this game the object is to find matches of two or or sometimes three identical items. The puzzles vary from the standard static HO scenes to ones where the items move around and ones where the items are layered on top of each other and the player must move them around. In between some of these HO puzzles are a few memory match games, jigsaw puzzles and strip puzzles to do. While there is technically a story involved, it is just told to the player inbetween the various HO scenes and looks to be the story that one plays through in "Fall of the New Age" which is also by the same developers. Honestly the story has nothing to do with the HO puzzles and just seems to be there to break up the game so that the player isn't just playing one HO scene after another (which he is anyway) and the story could have been dropped entirely from the game and it would not have made any difference to the gameplay. All the HO scenes use pretty much the same pictures over and over again, which gets tiring and makes this a "meh" HOG at best.

I'm not walking into a hidden object game with high expectations. HOGs are great to keep running while you work (for short mental breaks) and also for when you want to chill to some music or movies. I play them in spurts as minor distractions. So, my bar is low to begin with.

But THIS game manages to be the single most boring HOG I've ever played. The hidden object artwork is all reused so you look at the same exact bottles, tools, coins etc every single time. Occasionally it has you find the items in a slightly different way - find 3 instead of 2, or find the colored item and its black & white version. This does not break the monotony ultimately.

The jigsaw puzzles were all 24 piece. That's... toddler level isn't it? Aren't there Thomas The Train children's puzzles in 24 piece?

The story? You get one single unremarkable line after every puzzle and the next puzzle has nothing to do with the line usually. Most HOGs have you search a scene that relates to the overarching story: find some objects at the murder scene, then find objects at the police station, and so on. This game literally just plops down random item art assets in a pile and says, "Find them!" with no relation to the ultimate goal.

The storyline artwork was decent enough for the genre, shame the rest of the game was an utter snoozefest. I had to stop playing because life is too short to spend on things you don't enjoy. I'd suggest sticking with an Artifex Mundi or Big Fish title for your next HOG fix.

I usually like this type of game.
They are simple , cheap and good time wasters.
Unfortunately the mouse pointer kept freezing up in this particular game.
Which meant I had to Ctrl/alt/del out of it to regain control.
and meant I lost my progress each time it happened,
and completely broke the story line.

(I played 40 minutes, and it happened 3 times)
So, nope.

A Plot Story is a simple puzzle game consisting almost entirely of matching and jigsaw minigames. The plot is almost nonexistent and generally reads more like a children's book than a proper story. The music is decent, as are the graphics. Please be advised this is NOT a hidden object game and (to my best recollection) didn't include a single hidden object scene. If you're looking for a HOG, you'll need to look elsewhere.

Many Win10 users (victims?) will encounter a bug on certain matching levels that require you to drag items. This bug can take two forms. The first form will only make one object disappear when pairing. Clicking on the remaining object will make it bounce to another part of the screen, but you cannot drag them. The movement also onlyu works on those objefcts which failed to disappear after a match.

The second form of this bug is far more serious and makes the game impossible to beat on harder difficulty settings where a time limit is imposed. On the affected levels, the objects begin in a pile and you have to drag them apart to gain easier access to the underlying objects. On Win10, many players are unable to drag the objects, forcing them to pixel-hunt for matches. I can confirm that these levels ARE beatable on easy (i.e. no time limit) difficulty, but it takes a lot of patience. I've not tested the game in compatibility mode to see if win7 compatibility will remove this issue (
which doesn't exist when playing on an actual Win7 OS).

As the game only has a few different types of puzzle and has unresolved compatibility issues, I find it hard to recommend. On a recommendation scale of 1-100, I would probably give it a 40 when on sale and a 20 at full price. However, if you want a simple puzzle game to bide the time and don't mind the compatibility problems, it's worth grabbing during sales.

Little time waster. It's not hard to solve. The story is nothing to write to home about. The game is pretty simple, yet it's entertaining even if repetitive. There are different levels of difficulty if you want to get some replay value, but that's pretty much it.

Found no bugs. Runs fine on Win 7.

The game is very casual and is not very long. Just the right choice if you want to burn a few hours without any head-scratching.

Did I really play this for 16 hours? I sometimes step away and take care of things at home during a game like this. I've seen a couple of folks call this game repetitive, and as in a lot of match games (which this primarily is) of course this is true. For some this title may require more patience than they can spare, but I enjoyed the challenge. The controls were good enough, although I'll admit there were instances where I felt cheated by the response. It was never game breaking for me. (Windows 7)

For what I paid for this I'm quite satisfied for a one time play through. Many such games that I get for cheap don't even get played for more than a few minutes. The story is simple as is common for such games, and I paid little attention to it at first, but over time it was at least a little engaging. It has a number of elements of very old folk tales, perhaps what I would consider of European or Eastern Eurasian tradition.

Though this game may not win awards, I found quite a bit of the art work to be interesting and of good quality, certainly reflecting an effort well beyond the cut and paste assets we see in many low priced games. I commend the developer for this, and would consider taking notice of other works from their studio.

Edit note: I see that I do own several other of thier games, and although I've not played them all yet I did play and enjoy Dreamscapes: The Sandman, premium edition.

A very good game let down by a game-breaking bug and no way to get around it. Unfortunately, after 6 months, there's been no word from the developers either on fixing it or even acknowledging it.

Quite a pity, this game has lots of potential., but with a game-breaking bug, I cannot recommend it.

Another copy paste game with exactly the same game breaking bug in "disassemble the heap" you can't move objects and that's it, after couple levles you can't paly any more. Other than that first puzzle level is horrible and with annoying sound when you put piece in the right palce.
Shame that even that simple game can't be polished enough and playable.

Just get Sea Legends: Phantasmal Light by the same studio (Shaman Games).

This game uses assets from the above, but this game is tedious and repetitive.
Sea Legends: Phantasmal Light is a lot better.
It's got better game play, graphics, a better story, and voice acting (something this doesn't have), and I didn't encounter any bugs.

This game has a very irritating bug where you can't move parts for the "pile" puzzle (which sometimes fixes itself).
Basically, If you click and drag while an item is flashing, it goes fubar and you can't move parts anymore.

So boring I've dropped it as the story is put in a non-engaging way (it's just written in-between mini-games), and the puzzles/mini-games are repetitive as hell.
