Update: On the black screen after launching, clicking around the middle right of the screen generates a sound effect. Further playing around revealed that the game is still running, but there's no video. The language selection screen is there based upon the button layout from clicking around on the black screen, which can be progressed to the title screen.

Update 2: Clean uninstall/ reinstall does not work.

As it is, I am unable to play the game. Help would be appreciated, and thanks for your time.

Try this:

1) Delete your local saved data folder - this is located on your computer under Users/<yourUserName>/Library/Application Support/REXANOTHERISLAND. Delete the entire folder called "REXANOTHERISLAND". The "library" folder is hidden, so you will need to unhide it. There are various ways to do this but I use a free app called "Houdini".

2) Uninstall the game and download it again, and see if that helps.

The game won't launch for me. It just does nothing. I have to go to task manager and kill 2-3 copies of "rex.exe". I tried deleting the AppData folder for it and reinstalling and it didn't help.

Running Windows 7, 64 bit, 8g ram. All other Steam games work fine.

Edit: It works if I run it from file manager.

Too bad there is no further support on it, to anyone experiencing the same, when you click to run it, just let it wait a while even if you don't see anything, it make take some time.

With keyboard, I think it's Z. With a 360 gamepad, the A button.

Way late of a reply but that isn't a glitch, you just happened to land just off the spike hitbox is all (if you move a little to the right you would hit the spikes)

I lose my jump rather often, and it's making it hard to speedrun. I use a dpad controller (HORI Pokken tournament DX usb controller) that has worked well on all other games ive used it on, so I'm trying to figure out what is going on.

There are three coins hidden behind the cloud, to the right of the checkpoint. Hope that helps!

I launched the game with my display set to 120Hz and it turns out it break the easing of the camera making the game almost unplayable.
