WWZ vs aftermath.
I dont get it, is it a different game? I bought the regular game thinking it was just dlc but now to upgrade its going to cost my a whopping $23, just to play in 1st person?

For the most part it's just 1st person, but there are some weapons and stuff too. I honestly don't get why they still sell the original game and not just Aftermath to prevent this confusion.

aftermath just about doubles up the game with campaigns, that you could play with friends if one of you don't own them but won't have access otherwise. right now my brain is breaking trying to explain it clearly lol

btw have you tried asking for a refund if you bought the base game recently? it is understandably confusing, they really outta de-listed the base game at this point

aftermath in an expansion of the base game and is available separately as an upgrade.

You say wrong. Aftermath has 6 additional chapters ( GOTY content and 3 chapters of Aftermath ).

People should buy Aftermath if they want DLCs. The OP can upgrade but it will cost a bit more. In a case, if he (she) can not get the refund, there is no another option.

And it is true, if you have friends who own DLCs, you can play with them without need to buy these DLCs.

I have the game on Epic store. I tried to play it after last update and it is unbearable.
They destroyed a good game.

Completely agree, but Saber keeps it listed so they can confuse and double dip profit. Matthew Karch loves money. That's why it's not been removed.

The person in group who has the DLCs must make the lobby and others who do not have the DLCs can join and play.

When the GOTY came out there was the description about this on Epic store. There is no any info about this on Steam. And this is bad. There is no any confusion. All the companies sell base games and then DLCs a part. But only a few give you the opportunity to play DLCs for free with friends, who bought them instead of you. And you moan besides. OMG, people.

Another games with such condition about DLCs I know are Warhammer end times - vermintide 1 and 2.

On Steam said about Aftermath : "play 6 new campaigns...."

I am merely encouraging them to refund the base game so they can get a better deal with the full aftermath edition instead of buying the aftermath upgrade seperately, as OP expressed concern about spending more money if they want the full experience. This subject matter is a near monthly question on the steam forum alone, it isn't controversial to ask for better clarification on the store page before purchase because this is a common misinterpretation that happens.

The limited sharing of DLC is a welcomed feature but not quite significant as I feel you are implying. Non-owners cannot participate in public lobbies or complete challenge maps for greater rewards. They may strictly join private games with custom mutators and unless you have a full team, you are stuck with bots or just yourselves. I don't believe the game designers envisioned the game to be played this way because this is a four player coop with unique classes that can work together. I sense there is a language barrier here so let me make certain to you that no one was complaining about the sharing DLC feature in the thread. Thanks.

Yeah, I forgot many of the campaigns are apart of it since I've always had it and everyone that plays with me didn't need it.
