World War Z does have better graphics, and is a spin off of a novel and movie. Lots of skills/classes/level ups, and more weapons overall.
Overall, both are great games but I personally prefer LFD2 is better.
The movie is truly awful compared to the book, which is totally out of this world. It's such a unique writing style and bears essentially nothing in common with a movie that is basically IP theft that doesn't touch the actual setting, world, or internal logic.
It's totally worth reading the WWZ book for sure, 100%!!!!!!!!!!
Still really like both games, and the WWZ game is actually much more in line with the book then the movie ever could have tried to be, in a million million years.
For me, that brings it to L4D2 by a hair as better.
(And actually I'm glad most games don't have it, after witnessing the 'modern' modding trends.
Especially when now days, coders and artists have access to programs such as Unity 3D, Godot and the new Unreal Engines, there is no need to games to have modding tools to express themselves, contrary to the early era of PC gaming when only few and complex game-engines freely available and few games like Half-Life and Quake that had tools for modding that popularized it).
Though a restricted (like Trackmania style) level editor would be interesting, and could really change the game over-all for long-term :)
I really a fan of Deep Rock Galatic, they have a ton of cool mods. Just wish DRG had steam-workshop for mods in addition to mod.io
