also 1k-3k(steam charts) players every month doesn't seems to be "dead" for me

game's not just on steam. it's on both consoles and egs (where it was given out for free).
and it does have crossplay between all four of those platforms.

Not even close to dead. If anything, the player base is growing. Might not be at the speed of light, but it's growing. I'm constantly and consistently able to find people to play with at almost any time of day or night. Maybe you're region blocked from accessing specific regions by your ISP. This would vastly reduce the amount of people you could play with if they do that at your ISP. Maybe playing over a VPN would open up more opportunity for you to find more players.

A lot of people don't even consider peak player times, cross play or regions for that matter. They see Steam Charts and create conclusions of their own that they want to see.

Although not the best players, I do seem to pick up players for both campaign missions and Horde Mode. And I'm not saying I'm that great either.
