Don't Waste Your Money on Explosive Ammo

Guys in horde mode, don't waste your money to buy explosive ammo. Buying regular ammo box is more than enough! All 4 team members can refill ammo multiple times with that box. It gives you full ammo, every time you refill.

Explosive ammo is very limited and only give 100 bullets every time you refill. So it is very expensive with little advantage. Better to buy electric fence instead.

Or do you mean the equipment bags of the fixer? If you mean that, fixers are supposed to generate their bags constantly, not pick up equipment bags.

Do you know Fixer doesn't need to buy supplies to have explosive ammo?

Also, save that 70 resources ammo crates, when you can just search and pick.

You need to learn the game before spilling BS like this.

To his credit, the Armory perk's wording (like quite a few perks) is sort of vague I sure thought it was terrible when I first started till I actually did tests.

The way it works is that when Fixer with the Armory perk puts down an ammo box, every time a team mate gets ammo from it there is a % chance that the Fixer gets a free equipment refill which they can then use to put another box down, no internal cool down or anything. Meaning its really easy to have multiple boxes down on the ground and 2 in pack ready to be put down for pretty much free.

Also Explosive ammo removes bullet penetration but, increases the damage of shots by like 50%, so smgs get a nice buff.

I think there must be some misunderstanding from the OP. In horde mode you can only buy an Ammo Box for 70 points. This is regular ammo that refill both primary and secondary weapons for a few uses for you and your teammates.

There is no Explosive Ammo Box available for purchase with points. There is no such thing.
Explosive Ammo Boxes only comes from the Fixer class when they have the necessary perks (some play with masking gas instead) and they use Supplies to generate them. You cannot get Explosive Ammo Boxes without a Fixer.

Maybe you saw something else and mistook it for that. Please post a screenshot to clarify what you mean and we can explain to you what it is and how it works.

PS: There are different play styles and approaches when it comes to Horde Mode and they depend on the class setup you got and what you are trying to achieve (if you wanna go for as many waves as you can or if you want to level up specific weapons etc). Dont be so quick to dismiss what other players are doing, especially without much experience in the game, its mechanics and strategies.

Players who are not fixer get buffs from explosive ammo. Ffs.

You CANNOT buy explosive ammo. Explosive ammo only comes from Fixer.

If you don't know this, you are obviously noob and has no understanding of this game.

Fixer is one of the meta in horde mode.

I have no idea what this guy is talking about. I though he had a fixer on his team who wasted his money to buy those small supply bags to then put down fixer crates. But he said there were no fixers on his team. And you cant buy explosive ammo from the shop, AFAIK. So I'm helluva confused. Also ive done most horde maps to wave 40 so i must be doing something right......

What world do you live in? One ammo box can't even last one person one wave past 20 with t3 weapons while costing as much as six supply bags. At absolute minimum, assuming all go to the fixer, that's 180% ammo spread over better increments and damage bonus from explosive rounds on top of it. At maximum it's 480% ammo and equipment refills and explosive rounds. There is a reason why fixer is near mandatory in horde mode and its because breaking the economy is more important than immediate damage
