Horde mode. A question.
Is it like Killing Floor (4-7-10 waves and than end) or is it like Coal of Duty (endless waves).

I have a family so i cannot afford the Coal of Duty endless waves. I need a 4-7-40 waves and than shut my pc.

Please answer me because the game seems very interesting to me. :bawlingwitch:

A good way to answer your question is this.
You can exit Horde Mode at any time and you get a reward. The longer time spent the greater the reward obviously.

To directly answer, the only limitation of Horde mode is your time, and your team's ability (and their time). Teammates can join, leave, and new ones can join too.
In other words, it is ENDLESS waves.

I must think before i buy this.

It really doesn't matter, you can enter/leave whenever you want.
Don't get hung up on the number of waves.
If you want to play for an hour and quit, you can.
It's pretty hard to get past 40 waves unless your team is super good, with top load outs, and fully unlocked traits. Max I ever got to as I recall 47.

It is endless waves, but you can quit anytime, and you still get rewarded for the waves you completed.
To reach wave 40, which is the wave above which you get no extra rewards, you need about 2-3 hours.
But its not an easy task to reach that wave.

You need a really good team with a heavy emphasis on explosives to get to even wave 30, much less 40. Definitely hard.

Yesterday I got to level 54 (almost 55) on hardest difficulty and then server shut down, because they have a timer in place. The only way to get to higher waves is to kill zombies faster. I think though that rewards cap at level 50. I got maximum reward shown before starting the level.

Good thing though is that if you disconnect, you still get rewards as they are "invisibly" given after each wave.

The trick how I got this high is because I had two Fixers on team which kept supplying explosive ammo. If there was no timer we probably would get to level 60+.

Rewards cap at wave 38. No point in going further than than in private games unless you want to, in public games you will have a hard time after wave 20 in XL mode because most low levels/unwise players waste their points on the XL bank.

You get more rewards for the challenge horde mode, but the rewards will still cap at wave 38. The most rewards you can get in the horde modes are listed on the mission select screen.

Edit: If you want to save money on defense kits, let an exterminator with the builder skill place defenses while the rest buy things the team needs/save their points. If you want to save resources on ammo, bring a fixer with an ammo bag. The fixer gets more ammo bags the more players use them, and with a certain skill can heal players 10% health the first time you use them.
