How do I change my character?

uhmmm haven't really opened the game yet but if I remember from back in the day there's a tab when in lobby for a preferred character. If someone who was already in the lobby chose that character then you'll be given a random one.

You can select your character after you select a campaign.

You can only select between the characters associated with that campaign though. So for example you can't be Bunko, who is from the NY campaign, and play her in the Russia campaign, you can only be her in the NY campaign.

Look for "Preferred character" In the lobby section right before hitting READY

I tried doing that but it doesn't keep the character selected it changes to a random character.

Preferred Character tab during lobby. The characters are only different cosmetically.
