player count is holding me back!

i already have it free on epic but i like to support steam but the player count is low :c

Yeah but who knows how many people play from Epic or console?

I mean, i bought the game on Epic on pre-order. Do you think i want to pay full price again just for the expansion on Steam? Nop. So if I decide to play again and buy the expansion, it may be on Epic and you'll never know about it but i'll be playing.

And Last time i played, I was mainly matched with console players.. So well, we can't really know the exact amount of active players.

Game has crossplay. Epic and Steam players can play together as well as console players

5 days ago i tried playing the wwz on epic domination mode but got matched with only 4 players

Isn't domination the PvP? Cuz most people play WWZ for PvE, not for PvP.. if I want to play PvP, there are hundred of games out there that just do it much much much much much better. xD

Yeah rn there should be 50k to 60k people on across everything and way more on the weekend it's just low rn cause it's a Tuesday

Honestly dont get it on Steam...this game is dead and whoever says otherwise is lying. Matchmaking for pvp is horrible, strange lobbies with insanely bad pings. PVE is played always by some people but overall player count is really low for such a new game on Steam.

pvp is dead, because this game doesn't need pvp, just like Killing Floor 2, no one wants pvp in these type of games. devs shouldn't have wasted time on it, co-op is never dead in this game, always find games, quick.

Yes there is a low player count. Plus the servers are crap as they always have been. laggy too half of the time. Turn cross play on for more players but half of the console players suck. The player count is so low that you will sometimes get put on servers far away with 150+ ping.

I'm not going to lie the game isn't worth buying now. There's a few lobbies open in the afternoon and evening but not a lot. You can tell because you keep getting put back in the same lobbies when trying to search for a new game and you end up seeing some of the same players every day. I'd say at a busy time there's about 5 joinable games at most. Take that as you will.

Maybe it depends where you are it is no where as popular as it was and you have to play with more console players now due to the playebase overall being quite sparse which also has it's pitfuls...

Console and pc players can not communicate with voice or text despite being able to type on the pc.. The console players won't see it.

This also limits the whole point of a coop game. Plus the fact that despite a lot of the console layers being high levels they still aren't as good as pc players and often lead the team to failure (not always).

If you were staring out new it's not worth the effort. If you can download a game save with nearly everything unlocked and dive straight into the games for fun without worrying about leveling up then it is a little worth it but not worth more than half price.
