You lose all your skills and your class go back from lvl 30 to lvl 1

No.

Prestiging does not affect your weapons.

It only affects the skills and level for that class.

It makes that specific class go back to level 1. This lets you keep leveling up with the total level. You lose nothing but the skills you unlock while leveling that class. Gun skins are not effected in any way.

note that any money you spent on perks will be lost when you do prestige, its stupid. I just stopped taking any perks until i hit the prestige i want to. Well maybe i take 1 or 2 of the most important perks, but no more than that since its waste

You do get stronger each time you start over though since you keep all your prestige skills even at lvl 1
