Exterminator has a perk that gives them masking for a few seconds whenever they get 15 kills in quick succession, with any weapon or equipment. I use claymores on them which helps a lot during defence sections and helps get those 15 kills.

They are very effective at surviving against special infected, especially if you are last in team with the help of another perk which gives masking if everyone else dies.

For me they are my 2nd favourite class behind Slasher.

For masking effect, the medic & fixer class can be more effective, the masking perks are just bonus and it doesnt makes Exterminator class shine

Except Exterminator can be masked and it doesn't cost them any equipment. Claymores are very effective against hordes in defence sections and can save the objective being lost.

Medics and Fixer really shine when they support their Exterminators and Slashers etc. On their own they are powerless without their equipment.

im impressed ,everytime u wish to masked yourself from bulls since u hv no option to escape,u are able to find 15 zombies to take down for masking effect....
why u never mentioned molotov, are they useless ?

Its easy to get 15 kills when your claymores are burning the hordes on fences and walls and with your weapons. I also use a Heavy Shotgun with extra ammo perks to get 15 kills quickly as a last resort, good against Specials too.

If a Bull or Lurker catches you then you have a second chance perk called Rage mode to pick yourself back up.

Molotovs are ok, and usually with that build you will pick the Combat Engineer perk for the 20% chance to keep a defence kit. But I don't like that perk because teammates always rush and steal the defence kits before you can get there.

In short:
ADV:
1) Can dupe def kits if you prefer moly over claymores.
2) Can solo survive.
3) Has option to shoot infinitely (3rd hand perk + any 30+ bullets weapon) - so you can solo defense anything by yourself (3rd hand + invis perk = ez 1 side defense).
4) Molotovs are stronger cause of instant fire vs bull with 1st perk (if you have some space to dodge 1st charge, they won't charge after that), they also can't trigger the horde/alarm/whatever, you also can't blow up a car with them unlike claymores.
5) Gives you passively more ammo/charges for your def kits, having 2 exterms gives you 300 bullets for a machine gun, think about it.
6) Claymores are better in terms of defense cause you can "lock" entire respawn by yourself, btw both 1st perks are effective on claymores WITH fire perk.
7) Has noob save perks (instant revive/anti grab and etc).
8) During missions when you need to defend NPC - just throw moly/set up claymore directly on them - it will give you like 20+ seconds free time.
9) Best melee after slasher because of lvl 30 perk (even better with lvl 3 perk).
10) Strongest anti horde t4 weapon (rpg) - shoot twice with like 3 seconds delay - pretty fast defense if you need to defend one side in last 3-4 seconds.

DIS:
1) Need some brains if you choose fire claymore cause you can blow up your teammate.
2) 2nd DPS class in the game - still problems vs specials during the horde (without invis for sure).
3) No panic button unlike vanguard/slasher/medic/fixer/demo with c4 - moly won't burn bull fast enough, same with a claymore.
4) Invis exterminator still relies on 15 kills which is insanely easy, but only during horde/alarm events, also no bonus health because of it.
5) Requires supply kits to be effective during horde fight - so problem for medic and fixer, but you have 3rd priority overall after them.
6) Dupe perk is insane, but pointless cause of teammates who has no idea why you stay with moly, so no def kits for you to dupe.

P.S I prefer fire claymores with pocket factory overall, cause people can't save def kits you, so no reason to have a dupe perk withut discord or whatever, also you can mine whole one side before the horde + 2 respawn zone after it (with a claymore - you will recharge like every 50 seconds - so better option for it, but bad with a moly)

P.P.S I would like to see how you use moly if you think they are useless with info which 1 column perk you use.

Hey Nijo, i also like to play slasher builds. i still only play on hard or very hard, though i did go grind for a while to get katana already and then went back down to where i am not holding people back. what strategies do you use when playing slasher? if i can get a good team that will communicate a little, i can do a pretty effective defensive role that sort of crowd controls in qcb situations but it doesn't work for me very well any higher. do you have any tips/advice for using slasher in higher difficulties like very hard up? aside from the obvious benefit of teammates who are also trying to win, of course! thanks. sorry if i am a ♥♥♥♥ for posting this on your discussion lol i didn't even think about it until now.

total agree with most of your points, especially it is an only class with no anti-panic button, i wonder if splash damage perk can instant kill bulls or knock down infector, havent try that yet....

There's not much strategy to slasher, just press the melee button lol. You should be using the green tomahawk axe (medium weapon) if you are not already. That gives you temporary health boost and invincibility on signature melee attacks.

And then like Exterminator, you use the masking perk so you can look after yourself. I recommend getting Slasher to Prestige 4 Lvl 30 as their perks are very useful.

Slasher and Exterminator are the 2 best classes to complete Extreme levels without taking a single hit in my opinion. in the right hands they are invincible.
Panda Dec 19, 2021 @ 5:28am
Nope, at least on extreme - there is no option to instant kill the bull without your rpg, even with a molotov + 1st perk which gives you +50% damage - it takes some time to kill the bull, but you only need to dodge once, then the fire will kill him. you can also "tank" whole his damage even on extreme if you have whole temp hp, the fire will kill him faster then he'll stomp you.

Bull is dying by 1 accurate molo, (with skill "increase dmg by explosion one) so don't need to telling tales here.
And what about panic buttons, y'all here are totally blind? there are "Rage Mode", "Second Wind" aren't they?
