The game won't to connect on a server
I have this game on Epic. I can play only in offline mode (I didn't try yet, today I installed the game). I don't see anything it setting what can help me to resolve it.

OS: Win11

p.s. Everytime when I enter in the game cache is warming up for a 5-8minutes. In video it selected Direct X 11.

Short of trying these things[support.saber.games] you're in the same boat as many of us out here. Connection issues have plagued this game for quite some time and it seems Saber doesn't seem to care to fix the problem or even acknowledge that there is a problem on their end. All we get are the same old same copypasta responses from Saber Help directing people to their website. Then they'll want you to contact support or file a bug report and sweep the problem under the rug like they have been for months now. Also nothing in the game's settings will fix the problem.

Since WWZ Aftermath was updated to support the Valley of The Zeke DLC, the game connectivity with the WWZ services has become extremely unreliable and unstable. Connectivity to WWZ services has never really been all that reliable (randomly get disconnected during horde mode, campaign matches, etc.). It happened, but wasn't really all that frequent. Now however, it happens very frequent.

The connectivity issues are game breaking. It's been so bad I haven't even been able to play online with friends for more than a quarter year. Prior those updates I was able to play for hours and hours - exception of the typical disconnection nonsense that has always happened at random that people have been complaining about since day one. I have no issues with connectivity in dozens of other games I play online. Only with WWZ do I get constant and consistent network connectivity problems.

Hello! Please, check this troubleshooting article: https://support.saber.games/hc/en-us/articles/4419003901713-World-War-Z-Aftermath-Connection-Issues; it should help resolve the abovementioned matter. If none of the steps work for you, let us know.

@BORG, that is so sad, another game where developers don't care to fix essential aspects of the game. In the future, they will expect us to play their next game...

@Saber, it didn't help me. From what I can see, it didn't help many people either. They are disappointed in your support.

I'll try a bit of offline mode and then probably move the game to the trash bin like many other free Epic games.

At least Epic Games saved you some money. I've gotten quite a few goodies from EGS that have been great games. Imagine how it feels for those who paid for a polished product and this is what we end up with. it really sucks to get the short end of the stick and copypasta support with no resolve on the matter. Even if they can't figure out how to fix these issues (like many other long standing issues that have gone unfixed since the game's release), the least they could do is tell us they don't know how to fix it or give us some sort of update on what's going on. We get told to report problems, but there's never any followups on progress resolving those issues.

I also used to have similar DirectX problems on a pretty regular basis. I switched to Vulkan which worked great - until they broke Vulkan support so I was forced to use DirectX which was torture. Performance was all over the place. I was lucky to get 45FPS when normally I can push 90FPS easily on Vulkan. It can do more than that, but I lock it at 90 to prevent the game from going stupid. I still can't get consistent decent performance with DirectX. It varies from update to update, but performance is poor. The problem came with aftermath and continued to worsen as more updates came along. if Vulkan will work for you, use it. You'll likely get far better performance.
