Since WWZ Aftermath was updated to support the Valley of The Zeke DLC, the game connectivity with the WWZ services has become extremely unreliable and unstable. Connectivity to WWZ services has never really been all that reliable (randomly get disconnected during horde mode, campaign matches, etc.). It happened, but wasn't really all that frequent. Now however, it happens very frequent.
The connectivity issues are game breaking. It's been so bad I haven't even been able to play online with friends for more than a quarter year. Prior those updates I was able to play for hours and hours - exception of the typical disconnection nonsense that has always happened at random that people have been complaining about since day one. I have no issues with connectivity in dozens of other games I play online. Only with WWZ do I get constant and consistent network connectivity problems.
@Saber, it didn't help me. From what I can see, it didn't help many people either. They are disappointed in your support.
I'll try a bit of offline mode and then probably move the game to the trash bin like many other free Epic games.
I also used to have similar DirectX problems on a pretty regular basis. I switched to Vulkan which worked great - until they broke Vulkan support so I was forced to use DirectX which was torture. Performance was all over the place. I was lucky to get 45FPS when normally I can push 90FPS easily on Vulkan. It can do more than that, but I lock it at 90 to prevent the game from going stupid. I still can't get consistent decent performance with DirectX. It varies from update to update, but performance is poor. The problem came with aftermath and continued to worsen as more updates came along. if Vulkan will work for you, use it. You'll likely get far better performance.
