Is this game balanced for solo play?
I have the game in my account but never played, truly like left4dead and other types of horde shooters, but I want to know if the game is balanced for solo play since i dislike to play with random people. Can you beat the game in the last difficulty as a solo player? If not, which difficulty is the most appropriate for a solo player that likes a challenge?

Solo with/without bots is possible in highest difficulty but requires a lot of game knowledge. Most people stay at insane/hard challenges because it’s the sweet spot that’s hard enough but not too ridiculous. I would recommend new players to start at normal/hard mode before moving forward to the last two difficulties
yes but you have to do a lot of work around for the bots because they a laughablely bad for what they are design for
If you go to Co-op > Offline you can play with bots. They're pretty bad as teammates. If you don't have guns upgraded to have silencers you're going to want to stay on lower difficulties.
It's balanced even for true solo playing (without AI) this way the director spawns less hordes and specials however it'd be still hard AF. if you're newbie then should go 3 skulls.
2-3 skulls are optimal for a single player game and for learning a new map and mechanics on it. Bots are good for carrying first aid kits and heavy weapons)
Depends on the mission but bots are straight useless for the most part even at small waves or at most special zombies. They used to be much better some years ago but they made almost everything worse in this game, only god knows why.
It's not that bad tbh. I haven't played a lot but I've done episodes 1 through 3 with only bots on 3 skulls and they have good aim, terrible positioning and do their job well enough. I've had a lot of fun with it. I imagine when maxxing out all weapons/skill trees, you could probably manage to play the highest difficulty with them (which is fine, because even with 3 other people you couldn't beat extreme without the upgrades). If you could play L4D Expert solo, this game's no different.
Balanced for solo? I guess - Kind of, but not entirely. The balance is kind of a tangled ball of yarn so to speak. It's a lot less fun playing alone. As Deez Nutz said, it really depends on the map. The bots are trash and nothing more than brain dead meat shields. Levelling up solo is a serious grind so if you can only casual play solo, it will take a while to upgrade everything. If that's too much for you, you can always use a save file from somewhere online.
Used to be.
Not for a while now, ever since the Juggernaut update, which threw the balance into shambles.
Reach Prestigelevel 7, than u have all Perks openend. This will make u:steamhappy: playing easyer
was pretty balanced but the "super bull" can ruin your run with bots
