They may not be too great against a jug or bull though. I think they still melee those in close range.
They're so so. Definitely not the sharpest knives on the block. Pretty much what schicic said. They are definitely idiots dealing with Bulls and Juggernauts. They can pick heavies up, but still can't use them. They will often get themselves killed with their stupid. Their AI logic hasn't been improved a lot if at all really. They're still dumb and walk in front of friendly fire too. It's pretty much the same crappy AI it's always been.
running infront of Static MGs
and Devs think is funny to add mutators where the AI not can follow you in 5m range...
etc.

and then, one of the bots decided to rush and stay still in the middle of the horde, then the other bot went to help him, both died, i lost the mission
That's funny. Really cracked me up. 🤣
The fact that these bots are even called AI bots is an insult to AI itself. There really is nothing artificially intelligent about these bots at all. They're bots with programming that dictates how they operate. They're just programmed with instruction sets and that's it. They have no adaptive learning mechanisms and they aren't intelligent with knowing when it's safe or not to go pick up a downed player or bot. They can't even tell when they're standing in front of a friendly fire gun barrel aiming point blank at their head and move the out of the way. We can empty mags into their dome and they drop dead without even trying to get out of the line of fire.
Here we are in an age of amazing AI systems and this is all we get. 🤣
Got it dude...brainless like Zeds =)
You can definitely beat any missions with them, but you can't count on them to reliably give you assistance, so if you're using them for more than mules or meat shields you bound to get frustrated by their inconsistency.
While people complain about them, they are honestly much better than about 20-30% of the randos I get matched with.
Regardless, there is absolutely no good excuse for the ridiculously bad state the bots are in. The bots should be more reliable for assistance than they are and that is something I'm sure we can all agree on. There is a lot of room for improvement and we all know it. Will Saber make it so though? Probably not.
