what's the best weapon for harder difficulty

i'm a casual player, so not very familiar with the game mechanics trying to get used to it

ARK - 103 with <Advanced User> is the best weapon in the game

Close range = Shotguns (they one shot lurkers)
Mid range = Automatic Rifles
Horde = Heavy Weapons, Thumper GL with flame upgrade, shotguns to kill pyramides (shoot at the lower end)

Best weapon in the game is the advanced combat rifle. It has a silencer, a lot of damage and explosiv ammo by default. (does damage to you if the zeke is to close!)

tier 2 easy to get is the mp5 (tmp5 in the game i think) it has a nice perk which grants you burning bullets. You can set bulls and molochs on fire with it. It takes a while to kill them but it definitly will.

On higher difficulties i would avoid stuff like the sniper rifle completely.

My personal favorite guns are the tier2 and 3 shotguns.

The question is not that easy to answer. There are a lot of weapons that you can make good use of in the level itself but will render useless when hordes appear. If i could only choose one for everything i would use the ACR, like mentioned above.

Sry, makes no sense. Just play the game, have fun and try out different weapons.

There is no "best weapon" in the game, but there are lot of insane combinations.
Example: you're running your 1 skull game and came across a combat shotgun.
You gonna use it, and think...meh okay, average gun.

Me saying as a P10 GS. The combat shotgun is ONE of the most broken weapons in the game, IF you play as a GS with the right perks, have all the weapon upgrades unlocked and having a Hellraiser above prestige 2.

Imho you can ignore damage in this game. What counts is penetration and ammo pool.

It's Advanced Combat Weapon, not Rifle. ^^
Deals a ton of friendly fire, even to yourself, damages the virus container, and if you reload an empty ACW from the ammo crate, it's empty.
Don't get me wrong, I loved this gun when I started playing WWZ and it was one of the first maxed out guns, but do I use this weapone playing insane or extreme? Not really. For the abouve reasons.
