whats the difference between Aftermath and the base game?

It seems the store page of this game is even more vague than Ubisoft games.
So is Aftermath a DLC?
does it require the base game to run
why on earth are their two different prices for World War Z and Aftermath
and why doesnt Aftermath has its own store page?
Do I need to buy the base game and Aftermath to get all the missions/levels?

This looks extremely fishy almost like a scam

You need "aftermath" + "valley of the zeke" to get all maps. base game сonsists only vanilla campaigns (four ones)

Aftermath is a standalone expansion that contains mainly:

1) base WWZ game
2) 3 DLC maps packs, France, Rome and Kamchatka regions.
3) FPP view
4) All cosmetic skins for weapons and characters that where released before September 2021, that is before WWZ Aftermath expansion release.


WWZ game was release on April 2019 on Epic store as PC exclusive.

WWZ Aftermath was released on both Epic and Steam in September 2021.

After that they added new cosmetic DLCs and new 1 map pack DLC Valley of Zeke.


Conclusion.
You don't own WWZ anywhere, buy Aftermath version wherever you like.

You have WWZ, upgrade to Aftermath by buying DLC upgrade.

The amount of confusion this causes is incredible, you would think they would merge the game already and offer aftermath as an upgrade for wwz base-edition owners. Other games with special editions or expansions can list this properly in their respective store region
